Life Application: In our society today there are many who want to hide the darkness of the culture death. There are efforts to mandate that we all ignore our consciences and the commands of God and support the killing of babies and the deprivation of care to the elderly. There are calls for tolerance and cries about the rights of women. However, behind all this noise is lost the “silent screams” of the unborn and the faint cries of the forgotten elderly among us.

We the Church must shine brightly the light of life. We must speak for those who have no voice. We must stand against all efforts to kill the unborn and to fail to provide medical care for our elderly. The true, the LIGHT, is that God is the author of life from conception to natural death. So, Church, let’s shine our light in this darkness. If we fail to stand and speak who will do it?
