A Life-Affirming Ministry
Anglicans For Life’s (AFL) was originally formed in 1966 to help the Church uphold the Sanctity of Life, and was officially incorporated in 1983 as the National Organization of Episcopalians for Life Research and Education Foundation (NOEL).
In 2003, in partnership with Priests for Life, NOEL launched the Silent No More Awareness Campaign (SNM). SNM is an international Campaign designed to educate the public about the physical, emotional, and spiritual effects abortion has on women, men, and family members.
In 2005, the NOEL Board of Directors adopted a Declaration of Life Statement, which later served as the basis for the ACNA’s Title II, Canon 8, Section 3 Statement on the Sanctity of Life. In 2006, our outreach expanded to the worldwide Anglican Communion, permitting the ministry’s new organizational name, “Anglicans For Life.”
Anglicans For Life is headquartered in Leetsdale, PA and has earned the GuideStar Exchange Seal for demonstrating our commitment to financial transparency. Our most recent financial statement is available for review and was found to be in accordance with accounting principles generally accepted in the United States without any material modifications.
Anglicans For Life is also a member of the Anglican Global Mission Partners (AGMP), which seeks to connect service-focused Anglicans with national and international mission opportunities. Check out AGMP’s Mission Match to find service opportunities that match your interests and talents. AFL also enjoys actively participating in the National Pro-Life Religious Council organizations.
Mission

Vision
Inspire every believer in every church to do one thing everyday to protect life.
The Prayer for Life
Lord God, Thank You for creating human life in Your image.
Thank You for my life and the lives of those I love.
Thank You for teaching us through Scripture the value You place on life.
Help me to uphold the sanctity of life in my church and community.
Give me the strength to stand up to those forces that seek to destroy the lives of those most vulnerable, the unborn, the infirm and the elderly.
Today I commit myself never to be silent, never to be passive, never to be forgetful of respecting life.
I commit myself to protecting and defending the sacredness of life according to Your will, through Christ our Lord.
Amen.
