It’s that time of the year again! Anglicans For Life recently held its annual Christmas Card Design Contest! We received an overwhelming amount of creative entries. We want to thank everyone who participated this year. We are thrilled to announce the winner of the 2023 contest: Amelia from Nampa, Idaho! Amelia is thirteen years-old; she loves reading, literature, and playing sports, specifically basketball. She has two brothers, and a Boston Terrier who is five years-old.

When Amelia’s mother mentioned the contest to her, she thought it would be a fun opportunity. The scripture inspiration for this year’s contest was Luke 2:1-20. Amelia researched the scripture and found a visual she liked, which led to the inspiration for her card design. Amelia’s attention to detail and use of color made her artwork really stand out. Her artwork was chosen as the winner for its creativity and originality in bringing Luke 2:1-20 to life. With the prize money, Amelia plans to purchase a better bag for basketball. She encourages others to join the contest next year by saying, “You should go for it. You always have a chance of winning.”

Amelia has a strong relationship with God and has trusted Him from a young age. She saw other people her age giving their lives to Christ and wanted to have that relationship with God as well. The Anglicans For Life Christmas Card Design Contest is a beautiful way to honor God’s teachings and showcase the talents of Anglican youth like Amelia.

Anglicans For Life is excited to see what amazing artwork the 2024 Christmas Card Design Contest will bring. For more information on AFL ministry and news, be sure to sign up for our communication list at eepurl.com/g1hudb.
