As an organization Anglicans for Life’s mission is to equip, empower and encourage the churches in the Anglican Communion to fulfill Scripture’s mandate to protect the vulnerable, defend the fatherless and plead for the widow. Therefore in addition to focusing on abortion, AFL also addresses end-of-life issues.
Anglicans for Life is keenly aware that the term “end-of-life” for the widow or vulnerable – the elderly, the handicapped, the terminally ill means something different in today’s global culture than it did even a mere 20 years ago. Efforts to label vulnerable people as second class citizens are no longer something we fear may happen, it is happening. And with it comes a growing disregard for the value of life in the ‘golden years.’
Embrace the Journey includes video presentations by Anglicans for Life President Georgette Forney and experts in this area and also interviews with various bishops and parish priests to capture some of the real-life needs that require practical pastoral care.
You will receive the video DVDs and one Participant Handbook when you order one Leader's Guide.
